New images of Alien: Romulus have been revealed. The upcoming film will be the ninth installment in the overall franchise, including the two crossovers with the Predator franchise that were released in 2004 and 2007 respectively. The film, directed by Fede Álvarez, takes place between the original 1979 film and its 1986 sequel, Aliens, and follows colonists who discover the predatory Xenomorph on an abandoned space station. The film’s cast includes Cailee Spaeny, David Jonsson, Archie Renaux and Isabela Merced.
Screen Rant was present at CinemaCon in Las Vegas, where they presented new images of the upcoming Alien: Romulus. The footage begins with a scene in which Renaux’s character and a synthetic are trapped in a room with Facehuggers while Spaeny’s character, Rain Carradine, watches helplessly. Although they escape, the Facehuggers chase them down the ship’s hallway. Another clip shows a Chestburster emerging from Aileen Wu while she and Merced are on a small ship that crashes into a fuel cell when Wu hits and accidentally kicks the controls.
