UNDERWORLD 6: Rise of the Vampire – Official Trailer 2025 | Sony Pictures Movies | Kate Beckinsale

Underworld 6: Rise of the Vampire (2025) continues the dark, action-packed saga of the vampire and lycan wars. The film brings back Kate Beckinsale as the iconic vampire Death Dealer, Selene, and introduces a new era of conflict, focusing on the resurgence of a long-forgotten, ancient vampire clan known as the Umbra.

The story picks up several years after Underworld: Blood Wars with Selene having disappeared after bringing temporary peace between the vampires and lycans. She lives in seclusion, protecting her daughter, Eve, who possesses a rare hybrid bloodline. However, the uneasy truce between the species begins to crumble as rumors of a new vampire leader rise. This vampire, Lord Xypher (played by a new cast member), is an ancient being from the Umbra clan, a bloodline more powerful and ruthless than the ones seen before. Xypher’s goal is to wipe out both the existing vampires and lycans to create a new breed of vampires — purebloods free from centuries of hybrid contamination.

Selene is forced out of hiding when Xypher’s forces begin hunting down key figures in both vampire and lycan factions, including her daughter Eve, whose unique blood holds the key to Xypher’s transformation plan. With nowhere left to hide, Selene joins forces with David (Theo James), her ally from previous films, and a small band of rebels from both species who seek to stop Xypher’s rise to power.

The action intensifies as Selene uncovers Xypher’s secret fortress, a hidden city deep within the mountains where the Umbra vampires have lived in isolation for centuries, perfecting their powers. Selene must confront Xypher in a final showdown where she learns that he’s far more powerful than anyone anticipated, with abilities that surpass both vampires and lycans combined.

In the film’s climax, Selene faces her darkest battle yet — not only fighting Xypher’s forces but also confronting her own past, her bloodline, and the question of whether her daughter’s existence could be the last hope for the future of both vampires and lycans. The film ends with an open-ended conclusion, leaving the fate of the vampire and lycan races in the balance.
