In The Great Wall 2, the story picks up 20 years after the events of the first film, where William Garin and the Chinese soldiers of the Nameless Order repelled the monstrous Taotie horde from breaching the Great Wall. While the battle was won, the mysterious meteor that created the Taotie centuries ago has stirred once again, giving rise to a new and even deadlier threat.
The film begins with reports of strange occurrences near the remnants of the Taotie’s homeland. Farmers’ livestock vanishes overnight, and ominous growls echo in the mountains. Commander Hua and her team must forge alliances between rival kingdoms, combining ancient tactics with newly developed technology. Along the way, they discover ancient scrolls hinting at the origins of the meteor, revealing that it was sent by a powerful alien force to test Earth’s resilience.
